How do I know if the Nanny you send is the right person for our family?
Day Nannies screens, interviews, checks references and does a full criminal record check on all of our candidates that apply to become a registered Nanny. The family, as the employer interviews the most suitable candidates and makes the final decision.

What are your payment options?
Day Nannies accepts cheque, mastercard, visa and amex. Booking fees must be paid in advance.

What are the benefits of hiring a Nanny through Day Nannies?
The benefits are many, in that you can have a professional child carer looking after your child to your requirements in your own home. These hours are flexible, arranged to meet your family needs and can allow you that precious time to spend with your child not having to worry about doing the daily chores. Other benefits are that we save you time by taking the hard work out of finding and hiring a Nanny. We also have 15 years of child care experience and know what to look for in a professional Nanny.

What happens if I need an emergency/back up Nanny?
In this case we will send out your Nanny based on your booking requirements. If you want to interview the Nanny prior to commencing duties there is an extra fee involved for the Nanny and agency time involved.

What is involved for me when I employ a Nanny?
Once you have hired your Nanny, you will be required to set up a contract between you and your Nanny, payroll, payslips and insurance. See our parents page for more details. We also recommend that our Nannies carry their own public liability insurance.

Do you offer in home care?
We provide all of our services in your own home, Hotel or Workplace. If you are referring to the Government funded In Home care then no we do not. Government funded In Home care is a service provided by Agencies that have specifically applied to the Family assistance office to provide this service. To be eligible for In home care Child care funded services you need to meet an eligibility criteria which is usually based on how many children you have, their ages, any special needs and income. Contact the Family Assistance Office for more details.

Child Care Benefit
Nannies can register to become registered providers which usually entitles you to a rebate of up to $0.58cents per hour. Not all Nannies choose to become registered providers.

What areas do you service?
Day Nannies offers general services Australia wide. We currently offer our specialised sleep guidance and postnatal care services in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
